The Millis DPW will be implementing an I-I program beginning March 17, 2008 which will continue into June 2008.  The work will consist of inspections of the sewer system by camera and by engineers.  The work will be conducted primarily at night during low flow periods.  Police Details will accompany the inspection trucks on high volume roadways.   The program is designed to detect leaks (infiltration) of clean groundwater into the sewer system and to detect illegal connections (inflow) to the system.  Leaks and illegal connections increase our sewer flow and our treatment costs.  The elimination of leaks and inflow will provide useful capacity to our system.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.
