The Millis Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full time public safety dispatcher. Candidate selected will be under the supervision of the Police Department. Responsibilities include receiving and transmitting calls for Police, Fire, Ambulance, and other services; Dispatch by telephone and radio; operate computer and maintain accurate logs and records. Must be able to speak clearly and accurately, and relay information to public safety personnel. High School diploma or GED, computer skills, and experience dealing with the public required. Certifications in LEAPS and E911 are preferred and preference will be given to those candidates with permanent intermittent status through Civil Service (HRD).

Entry Level salary is $15.47/hr plus benefits. Applications are available at the Millis Town Hall, 900 Main Street, Millis, MA 02054. The Millis Police Department anticipates one (1) opening within the next 30 days. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Successful applicants will be required to pass a physical examination and drug screen.
